Psalm 37:3-4, Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.  Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

What in the world is going on?  You really can’t make all of this craziness up!  It seems as though everything is upside down and backward.  I really have no idea how people who don’t know the Lord deal with it.  When everything seems out of control you can know that you can cling to Him and you can trust that He’s got you!

God is still on His throne and nothing takes Him by surprise.  He still sees you and He still cares.  The crazier things get the best thing you can do is follow Him.  Pour yourself into growing closer to God no matter where you are in life.  Your answers need to come from Him and His word regardless of what you are doing.  Don’t panic.  Don’t trust the news!  Don’t live in fear ~ remember that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind! (2 Timothy 1:7). God wants to strengthen and guide you so you can be a light to those around you.  You can’t act like everyone else and lead them to Him.  You also can’t expect God to bless you if you are living like the world and only coming to Him for His blessing.  God delights in you and He wants you to delight in Him as well.  He wants you to walk so closely to Him that you trust Him and seek Him for every little thing.  I seriously pray over everything, even appliances when they don’t work right.  That may sound crazy and yet ~ you have not because you don’t ask.  Do I always get the answers I want?  NO!  I figure that I won’t get the answer if I don’t ask, so what can it hurt.  The crazy thing is that I know there are times when I need to stop and ask Him about the bigger things instead of looking for the answers elsewhere.  The point is that God wants us to take everything to Him and trust Him with it.  I have seen God answer huge prayers and then I have also seen Him answer something as silly as my wanting a pizza instead of Mac n Cheese when we couldn’t afford anything else.  

I would encourage you today to trust Him and take every detail of your life to Him.  Pursue Him!  Don’t miss out or make mistakes because you choose to do your own thing.  He cares deeply about you and He wants to walk with you, every single day of your life.  Seek Him with your whole heart knowing that truly His best is yet to come!
