Mark 4:39-41,  He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, “Quiet!  Be still!”  Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid?  Do you still have no faith?  They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this?  Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”

“Who is this?”  They had been with Him and had seen many miracles done by Him and yet all they could say was, “Who is this?  How about you do you know Him?  Do you trust Him and what He is asking you to do?  There are times when what you may need to do is full of uncertainties and then you have to ask yourself ~ “Do you trust Him?  Do you know Him well enough that you trust Him with whatever may come your way?”  

The disciples were actually in the best position they could be.  They were caught in the middle of a tremendous storm, but Jesus was in the boat.  God Himself, the creator of all, the one who made the wind and waters, was in their boat.  They couldn’t control the situation, but they made the right choice of following closely to Jesus, so He was in their boat.  Are you walking closely with Him so you can know that no matter the storm, or heartaches, or troubles in the world, He is right there with you and He has a plan?  One of the toughest things in life to do is to give over your agenda and everything that you may love to Him and trust Him with it all, but that is where you will find His peace and His answers.  That is where you will find your faith is in your trusting Him.  He loves you!  He wants to use your story for His glory.  

I would encourage you today to trust Him and ask Him to give you the faith you need for all you may ever face in life.  He knows what lies ahead and He knows what is best.  You can trust Him.  He sees and He cares, nothing has escaped His notice.  Ask Him for His strength and confidence for all you are doing today.  Get to know Him better by seeking Him with your whole heart.  Don’t hold anything back because trust me, your strength will be found there.  Things don’t always seem to make sense, but when you are walking close by His side, you can have peace and confidence that truly His best is yet to come!
