Make Sure You Know Who You Are Walking With

Luke 22: 3-6 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.  He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers about how he might betray him to them.  And they were glad and agreed to give him money.  So he consented and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of a crowd.

They met with and hired satan himself to help them and they didn’t even realize it.  They were so closed off to what God was trying to tell them and show them about who He (Jesus) was, that they turned and walked hand in hand with satan himself!  Wow!

Make sure that you are not trying so hard to find fault that you are allowing satan to lead you by the hand into a situation that is totally against God.  Is it possible that you have maybe “misread” the situation and therefore you are maybe misjudging her/him?  Don’t allow insecurity or pride or your “spirituality” to lead you to judge someone wrongly.  Things in life are rarely what they appear to be!  We are too often led by that first impression or maybe the fact that she was having a bad day and may have said and done something out of character for what we thought she should be.  We often accuse God wrongly of being the one who is ready to pounce on every little thing that is done wrong when in reality it is Satan using us to do that instead!  We need to be looking for the good in others and we need to be helping each other become all we need to be for God. I have been fortunate enough to have found a group of women to work with in my business, who truly show that type of Godly love and support to each other on a daily basis. That is how we need to be in every situation.

The chief priests and officers of the church were so eager to find a way to get Jesus out of their way that they were willing to make a deal with satan himself.  Don’t allow satan to do that to you!  He will try to take the smallest things and allow them to fester in your mind until you are willing to say or do almost anything.  That is when gossip sets in or you start to put up walls and you start judging their every move when the reality of the situation is nothing like you are imagining.  Satan will try every means possible to keep people from doing the will of God, so if that lady is willing and eager to serve God then what better way to stop her than to start making everyone doubt because of a little gossip about what you saw?  Don’t allow Him to use you like that!  Get to really know her and be someone who is determined to walk with God to help all those around you better able to serve Him!  Proverbs 27:17 tells us, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”  Encourage, be a friend and be accountability partners.  You may find a great friend in her if you give her a chance and you are determined to be a positive influence in her life.

Our goal in life is to walk with God, how horrifying would it be to realize that you had helped satan keep someone from serving Him especially if you are misreading or misunderstanding the full situation?  Satan is the master deceiver, don’t be fooled.  If you are comfortable with it, maybe you should just ask her about the situation and get it out of the way if it is bothering you that much.  Ask God for direction, He will be happy to guide you if you allow Him to and are open to His leading!  Let’s determine to walk with God and each other, so we can all be all He created us to be!
