Ever wake up in the morning and feel like maybe it would be ok if you just stayed in bed until you actually felt like you could get moving?  Yeah, it doesn’t work that way unfortunately the longer you lie there the worse you may end up feeling.  Some days require more oomph than others, but every day is an opportunity.  It may be today that your answer to that prayer will come, or it may be today that you will find that job, or your child will get back on track, or maybe you will get the opportunity to share the Gospel with someone and it will not only change their life here on earth but for all eternity!

I see funny memes all of the time on Facebook about the need for coffee to get the day going and I love a great cup of coffee myself so I get it, but more than that I need the strength that only comes from my walk with God to accomplish what I need to accomplish for Him!  Now, here’s the deal ~ You are called as much as I or your preacher or anyone else on earth is called!  We are all called by God to serve Him in all that we do. Some days you may find that you just don’t feel like it or you feel that the battle that you are facing is just too much!  Step one is ~ to make sure that you take time to spend time in His Word and in prayer! Don’t neglect your time alone with Him! Step two is ~ don’t allow defeatist thoughts to rule your day!  As it says in 2 Corinthians 10:5, “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”  Don’t allow your own thoughts to defeat you!  Pray for God to give you His strength and confidence for your day!  You’ve got this!  Believe me, if I had to face everything satan has thrown at me on my own I wouldn’t make it!  He knows his time on earth to tear down as many people as he can gets shorter and shorter and he is waging war, not only against God’s people, but also against those who need to know Him and His saving grace.  If he can stop you that is one battle won in his mind ~ tell him, “Not today satan!”  He can’t have you, he can’t have your family, he can’t have your finances or your calling! You are a child of the most High God!

God will see you through whatever your day may bring!  Ask Him to supply all of your needs whatever they may be and trust Him to help you!  Don’t give up ~ keep praying and believing and trusting that truly His best is yet to come!
