Romans 15: 13,  May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and peace as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may overflow with hope.

He is our source of hope!  In a world that is lacking anything that would resemble hope we not only need hope for our own lives but we need to be oozing hope for the world to see!  It’s easy to be consumed with all of the attacks coming against you ~ believe me, I get it, but God still wants us to be full of His hope and joy and peace!!  If we can walk in the hope that only comes from Him then others will not be able to help but see it.  If we respond to what is going on the same way people do who don’t know Him then why would they want to know Him?  Yes, that can be a tall order, but He doesn’t ask you to do it on your own or figure it out He is saying here that He will fill you with hope, joy, and peace!  It’s from Him!

So, how do you get His hope, joy, and peace when all Hell is coming against you? You focus on Him!  I mean really focus on Him.  Your focus will make a difference in your entire outlook and outcome!  Don’t sit and binge-watch a sitcom, or listen to sad, depressing songs.  It’s ok to talk to a friend but don’t leave it there, make sure you are talking to God about it.  Talk to Him every time it comes to your mind and every time satan tries to get you to buy his lies, talk to God.  Turn on some praise and worship music, spend time in His Word, and ask Him to you a verse for your situation.  If you don’t get a verse today, try again tonight, if not tonight, try again in the morning ~ don’t give up keep pressing into Him.  Sometimes it is good to pull up a YouTube video of someone like Jeanne Robertson and take some time to laugh about something outside of what you are dealing with.  Laughter can change your perspective on so much!  Whatever it takes just make sure your eyes are fixed on Him and you will have the hope and trust you need to get you where you need to go in life!  It is dark out there and we need His light and so do they, they just don’t know it!

Everything we need for life is found in Him and every single Word of Scripture is here for us to know Him more!  Here’s an awesome little fact to know ~ The entire Bible end to end is about the Son and God gave it to us for us to know Him fully  ~ God is so detailed in everything He does that if you take the first letter of the first book of the Bible which in Hebrew is B’resheet (Genesis) ~ “B” and then you take the last letter of the last book of the Bible Revelation ~ “N” it spells “ben” in Hebrew translated is “Son”!  He wants the world to know His Son and the power of His salvation so they can be full of Him and His hope as well.  

Our Hope in Him is more important than just the comfort it brings us ~ it is the opportunity for others to see Him and for them to be drawn to Him!  Let’s determine to be full of His, hope, peace, joy, and love so it will not only change our own lives but to transform the lives of those around us as well!  His best is yet to come!
