Isaiah 49:15-16, “Can a woman forget her child at the breast, not show pity on the child from her womb? Even if these were to forget, I would not forget you. I have engraved you on the palms of my hands, your walls are always before me.”
Not today! What lies has satan been after you with to keep you where you are? God hasn’t forgotten you or His plans for you and your loved ones! No matter how long you have waited or what your circumstances are screaming ~ He hasn’t forgotten! Is there a dream you had of what you thought God would do in and through you? When I was 12 years old God put it on my heart when I was at Lake Ann Bible camp to be a missionary. I went to college and I was told that wasn’t a good idea because I was single, I got married but he didn’t feel we were called to that either, then I went through a divorce and I fully believed I had totally missed it. Either I didn’t hear right at 12 or I messed up and missed it. Then God opened the door and put it on my heart to write Bible studies ~ talk about feeling unqualified… God doesn’t necessarily call the qualified, He qualifies the called. I started out hoping to maybe have 50 women but God has sent it all over the world. God’s plan is typically always much broader than our plans. I was willing to go to another country but His plan was to reach “Countries” and believe me ~ it’s ALL HIM! I could never do this on my own, but when you put your “yes” on that table before Him and say “Not my agenda but Yours” He will do more with what you have than you can on your own! What dreams do you need to dust off?
I have a sweet friend whom I wish we lived closer to each other because her heart for God, people, and ministry is so much the same as mine. Yesterday I watched a reel she did that just really stirred me up because we all get attacked by satan to get us discouraged thinking maybe we just can’t fulfill our calling. Her reminder to fight that and just do it was powerful. We cannot give up. Satan is out to keep the world under his thumb and to keep Christians silent! We must fight back! We need to take every opportunity we get to share the Gospel and encouragement with everyone we can. So whether God is calling you to launch out into a local Bible Study or to head to the mission field, get going! You just never know what may come of what you think is small. You don’t know who else may be inspired by you and then who will be inspired by them and on and on! We have to start somewhere and some time so why not “here” and why not “now”? If what is on your heart lines up with the Word of God and it’s going to further the kingdom and inspire others in their walk with Him then don’t allow satan the opportunity to silence you. Pray about it and ask for God’s leading. Ask Him to open and close doors as He sees fit! Our mission is to reach the world with His truth and we can’t do that if we keep silent. Take a look around… those lost people you see will be left behind if Jesus comes soon, and worse still their eternal fate is Hell if they don’t accept Him as their savior. How many Christians do you know who could use some encouragement?
Let’s determine to be His hands, feet and mouthpiece by dusting off those dreams and callings and start reaching out. Start in prayer, asking for His guidance and He will show you the direction to go. There’s absolutely nothing more important than doing what He puts on your heart to do. I am praying that God will stir up a mighty bunch of men and women who are determined to not only become who He created them to be but for them to also have a passion to stir that up in everyone around them! No call is too small if you are working with Him! You just never know all He can and will do with your simple “Yes”!
