Isaiah 40:28-29, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
As you get to know Him more, it will help you better understand who He says you are! When you understand who you are according to Him, you will walk in His confidence in all that He calls you to. Let’s face it, this world will beat you down if you allow it to. There are attacks constantly that can make you doubt yourself, it doesn’t matter who you are, and, that’s just it ~ you are not the only one facing that! I can remember telling my children that when they were young. They needed to be there for each other and stand up for each other because the world can be a rough place and they should know that they can count on each other. The more you get to know God the more you will understand how much He loves you and He cares. He gets it and He wants to walk with you through everything whether good or bad in life! He wants a close relationship with you! He wants to grow you into all He created you to be and He will give you the confidence and strength to do it!
If you pour yourself into getting to know Him you will find that when storms come your way you will have the confidence that He is there. He’s got your back and He is working and able to handle everything that comes your way. Read Psalm 77 today and you can see how the Psalmist was in distress and had been up all night pouring his heart out to God wondering where God was and if He was ever going to help and then in verses 10-15 he says, “Then I thought, ‘To this I will appeal; the years when the Most High stretched out His right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.’ Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. With your mighty arm, you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.” In his despair, he reminded himself of who God is and all that He had done throughout history to give himself hope that God was the God of miracles that He is faithful and holy, and that He will fulfill all that He has promised if you just follow Him.
God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever! He is a holy God and He is just and He loves you and wants to walk closely with you. He doesn’t want to be a God far off to you, He wants so much more. The more we know Him the more we will become like Him. Remember Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” As you get to know Him and walk with Him you will know that truly His best is yet to come!
