2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (NKJV) “that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”
God sent His son to draw us to Him and we are called to do the same! Are you living a life that will draw others to God? Are you pleading with others to give their lives to Him? Know your audience! There are people that you have probably earned the right to speak into their lives and there are people that you just need to live out who God is in order to reach them but either way, our lives are to be lived in a way that draws others to want to live for God! Keep in mind that it is God who draws them. We must do our part and we must be obedient and we must pray for God to draw people to Him so the words spoken will matter. We need to be the light in a very dark world that seems to get darker by the minute!
1 Peter 1:16 says, “Be holy, for I am holy.” We are called to be holy. We are to strive to live lives that are above reproach. Go the extra mile, stop trying to fit in, and be willing to stand out for God! Ask Him if there’s anything you need to change in your life so others will be drawn to live for Him. Pray for godly discernment! Get intentional about your walk with God because satan is certainly intentional and working harder than ever to kill, steal, and destroy as much as he can. He knows his time is short and he’s doing all he can to take as many people down as he can.
1 John 4:7-9 also tells us; “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” We need to ask God to fill us with His love for people! Let’s face it, we all have people in our lives that can be difficult at times to “love”, but God will fill you with His love for them if you ask. Love is a powerful thing! Just like it says in 1 Corinthians 13::13, “And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Being filled with a love for God and a love for people will move the hearts of others toward Him. Hatefulness, judgmental attitudes, and pious attitudes have never drawn anyone to God. When we carry those things in our hearts, we are only serving ourselves. Ask God to love through you so others will be “reconciled to God”! The best is yet to come!
