It Is Evident…

Matthew 24: 37-44,  For the Son of Man’s coming will be just as it was in the days of Noah.  Back then, before the Flood, people went on eating and drinking, taking wives and becoming wives, right up till the day Noah entered the ark; and they didn’t know what was happening until the flood came and swept them all away.  It will be just like that when the Son of Man comes.  Then there will be two men in a field ~ one will be taken and the other left behind.  There will be two women grinding flour at the mill ~ one will be taken and the other left behind.  So stay alert, because you don’t know on what day your Lord will come.  But you do know this; had the owner of the house known when the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not allowed his house to be broken into.  Therefore you too must always be ready, for the Son of Man will come when you are not expecting Him.

While we don’t know the day and hour we can see from all that is going on that the day is coming and it’s close!  Satan knows his days are numbered and that is why he is working overtime to distract us as well as to steal kill and destroy!  If he can’t destroy you he will try to distract you with constant attacks, or he will do his best to make you so busy you don’t have time for the things God has for you to do.  The time is short!  People are lost and they need Jesus and we don’t have much time to reach them.

I know there are still some who believe that “they have heard that He is coming soon” all their life so they don’t want to believe that the time is closer than we may think.  My question would be; Do you want to be like the owner of the house who wasn’t ready?  What do you want Him to find you doing when He comes?  Will you be one of the ones who truly has faith when He comes?  That needs to be our goal!  We need to live and make choices every day with that in mind!  If you are struggling to believe it could happen in your lifetime I would like to challenge you to dig in and study it!

As you go throughout your day make a conscious effort to notice the signs.  Pay attention to those around you who may need to know Him and pray for opportunities to share Him with them!  What loved ones do you have that need Him?  Pray for God to give you wisdom to reach them.  You can’t just beat everyone over the head with your Bible but if you pray for a way to share the Gospel you can be sure God will guide you and give you the words and wisdom you need for each person He brings your way.  Remember that while the time during the tribulation period will be horrendous, Hell is waiting for the unsaved after that.  Let’s do our best to reach out and to live daily lives that will draw others to Him since we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that His best is yet to come ~ not in this world, but in the world to come!
