2 Corinthians 12:9, But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Have you ever noticed how much more you rely on God when you are in desperate need of His hand on your life? When we are sick or hurting or in need, that tends to be our natural time to dig in or reach out to God and yet He wants that to be a part of our everyday routine. If we get the proper perspective of who we are and who He is we will recognize that we need Him every moment of every day. We will see ourselves as weak without Him which means we should never, ever want to set Him on the shelf and go it alone.
His grace is available to you every day, not just for you but for everyone around you. God wants to fill you with His grace for other people so they will see Him in you and want to walk with Him as well. Don’t allow those people around you to miss out on heaven because you are complacent. God wants to extend His grace and love to them through you. Maybe this is the area you feel the weakest in is sharing Him with those you love. Ask Him to give you His strength in this area and to give you a boldness like you have never had before that is also covered with His love and grace. You know that this is a prayer you can expect to be answered because His desire is for you to share who He is with everyone you can. People are hurting and in need of hope and that is found in Jesus and His Words. Allow Him to fill you to the point of overflowing so they will see Him and desire a relationship with Him.
Don’t wait for tragedy to pursue God and to share His love with others. Seek Him now and allow Him to use you to reach others. Ask Him for a passion to reach those around you. You can start by making a list of people that you pray for daily. The more you pray for them the more you will desire to show them who He is.
If you are struggling today, know that God wants to fill you with all you need to make it through another day, not just as a survivor but as someone who is filled with God’s hope, peace, and love! Don’t give up! Pray for His direction and encouragement. Seek His face in all that you do.
My prayer for all of us today is found in Numbers 6:24-26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lit up His countenance upon you and give you peace.”
I pray that you will seek His grace for anything you may be facing today and that you will know and experience His presence and grace for it all and that it will be a light to all those around you!
