Nehemiah 4:6,  So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.  

That was actually quite an undertaking for them.  They were being hindered on every side to the point Nehemiah had to have some of the men stand guard while others worked to protect them.  They had not taken on an easy task.  It was something that needed to be done and it was finished because the people had a mind to work.  They didn’t sit down on their bums and expect God to perform a miracle and put the wall back in order, they did their part all the while being opposed by the enemy.  That is the mindset we need especially in this day and age!

Nothing comes easy and you can really count on that if it is something God has put on your heart to do!  Satan is going to fight you on every side and He will try to discourage you and get other people to oppose you, but you must keep your mind set on the task at hand and what it is God is putting in front of you to do.  It’s too easy to get upset with God because something hasn’t worked out instead of looking at it and asking ourselves if we are doing what needs to be done.  I sometimes tend to overthink things to a degree that can hinder me and yet we can miss thinking something through and end up on a path to nowhere ~ there is a balance that must be found and it is found in Him.  We must run our plans by Him and seek His face with all of the craziness going on to stay on the right track.  Make sure you are keeping your priorities straight and keeping a healthy balance in your life.  Don’t put God on the shelf to accomplish something you feel He has for you to do.  While that may seem like a silly thing to say, it happens all of the time.  There are too many times people sacrifice their family for the “ministry” they are doing or their job and that is not at all what God desires.  We must seek Him and the balance He has ordained in our lives. Just stop for a second and take a look around and you will see that God created everything to be balanced and in order, without balance things will fall apart.

So, do whatever God is putting in front of you today, don’t wait for it to just somehow fall from heaven.  Do your part and keep your priorities in place.  Seek God’s face in all that you do!  Time on earth is short so let’s set our sites on accomplishing all He desires for us to do in the time we have in a way that will bring honor and glory to Him!
