What’s On The Menu Today…

Matthew 4:4,  But He answered them, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

What are you feasting on today?  Does it seem like a “feast” or do you feel as though life is feeding you bread and water, and you aren’t really sure how long you can survive it?  Life can overwhelm you at times, and believe me, I get it.  I know what it is like to wait and wait for answers, and while you wait for God to move in one area of your life that you feel is suffocating you, something else hits, and just when you think maybe it couldn’t possibly get worse, and anyone survive……. It does.  What exactly are you supposed to do?  Maybe you are reading this and that isn’t you, but you know someone who is going through that. Please support them in prayer and let them know you are praying.  They need the encouragement, and every time you send a text telling them you are praying, it will give them hope.

So, when you are experiencing storm after storm, what are you to do?  Dig into the Word of God.  Cling to Him!  Walk with Him and ask Him to show you what you can learn through it and to give you the strength and encouragement each and every day until your answers come!  Don’t allow satan to discourage you.  Take every thought captive, and when you get discouraged or you are frustrated and depressed or feeling as though you should just give up, pull out your Bible and claim every promise of God you can find!  Write those promises down and carry them with you!  This is war!  The best weapon you have against the storm is the Word of God.  Turn on praise and worship music.  Many of your local radio stations have an app, so download it so you can listen to it at home.  If you are looking for straight worship music, download the app called “worship 24/7”.  I love a variety of Christian music, so I have several radio stations and worship 24/7 on my phone, so I have uplifting music at my fingertips!  You have to choose to seek God with all you’ve got to have the strength you need.  He loves you and He will see you through, and He will use your story to glorify Him if you will give it all to Him!  He can turn the roughest, craziest situations into something beautiful that will glorify Him and bless others.  Remember Job 23:10, “But He knows the way that I take:  when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”  If you put it all in His hands, you can come out of this better, not bitter, and God can use you.  Trust Him!

So, let me encourage you today:  you don’t have to waste away on the bread and water life is feeding you right now ~ feast on The Word of God and it will get you through!  Allow Him to wrap His arms around you and your situation and trust Him to see you through to the other side of this mess.  Remember, nothing is too difficult for God!  He is the creator of all, and He loves you.  There isn’t a tear you have cried that He doesn’t know about.  Allow His word to heal your heart and give you the direction you need today, knowing that His best is yet to come!
