It Says It All…

Psalm 117, Praise the Lord, all you nations;

extol Him, all you peoples.

For great is His love toward us,

and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord.

This little chapter, which is made up of just two verses, says it all. Whatever you may need today, encouragement, hope, love, forgiveness, strength, vindication, wisdom, healing, confidence, whatever it may be, it’s in there.

God’s love extends beyond our comprehension, and we can see it in the grace and mercy He continuously pours out on mankind. His sacrifice to save us from sin and hell is not only a sign of His love but also His faithfulness. He made the promise to Adam and Eve when they sinned and had to be removed from the garden. Romans tells us, “For if, because of one man’s trespass,(Adam) death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.” Has anyone else loved you enough to make that kind of sacrifice for you? He loves you beyond what you can fathom, and He truly wants to be involved in every part of your life! He is not far off, occasionally glancing your way. He has His gaze fixed on you, longing for you to seek His face. If you struggle with that, then take a moment to pray and ask Him to help you understand His love for you.

Have you ever loved someone deeply, maybe your child, and in their struggle, they just couldn’t accept the fact that you loved them? It’s heartwrenching when you see him/her hurting, and for the life of you, you can’t seem to break through that barrier so they can feel and accept how much you care and love them. When you keep that barrier up between you and His love, for whatever reason, He is longing for you to open your heart so He can lavish you with His love for you! His faithfulness is part of who He is. It isn’t just a decision. God cannot lie! He is always faithful to what He says! He will not break His promises, and He will always take whatever comes your way in life that you hand over to Him, and He will do something good with it. He will heal your broken heart, and He will guide you into all He has planned if you will trust Him and follow His leading, so Praise the Lord today and every day! He sees you, He loves you, and His best is truly yet to come!
