Hebrews 10:36
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
I don’t know about you, but most of the time I would like to “receive what He has promised” and then I feel it would be easier to persevere. Truth be told, most of us would just go on doing our own thing if God gave the reward to us first.
Ok Ladies, let’s be real here for a moment, who here doesn’t want God to fix the man in our life and then we will be the Godly woman we are suppose to be? Or who wouldn’t prefer to have a lot of money before we learn that we need to have control of our money instead of it controlling us? What is it
that you are waiting for before you will commit totally to doing the will of God? When I moved to TN, I was a single Mom moving 2 teenage girls that were basically kicking and screaming the whole way! I could seriously relate to Moses moving with the Israelites, complain, complain, complain! I
couldn’t wait for them to get on board or I would never have moved. I knew it was the will of God for my life and nothing about the move was perfect, it was a rough first year!
The key here is that we need to stick it out, whatever IT is and just keep moving forward in the will of God and God will come through as He has promised. What has He promised? Well, if you can’t think of anything else, you can remember this: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for
you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” That’s a big promise! God has better plans for you than you could have ever imagined by yourself, you just need to believe and “persevere”!
