Sharing The Freedom That Can Only Be Found in Him

by | Feb 24, 2026

John 8:31b-32, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

FREEDOM! Everyone wants to be free. We long for freedom to worship, freedom from abuse, freedom from addiction, and freedom in our finances. The list goes on and on, and for every single struggle, the answer is found in the Word of God. We hold the world’s answers in our hands ~ how selfish would it be to keep them to ourselves?

The enemy is fighting harder than ever, and we need to rise up as warriors and fight back! As 2 Timothy 1:7 says: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind.” It is the combination of these three things ~ power, love, and a sound mind ~ that makes our witness effective. When sharing the Word of God, we must check our hearts. I’ve seen social media posts and church signs that make me wonder how on earth we think that they will draw anyone to God. I’m not saying that we should be “politically correct” ~ those words make me sick. We aren’t called to be politically correct; we are called to stand on the Word of God, but we need to do it in a way that reflects His love! Yes, we all know that God is holy and He will judge the people of the earth, and whether or not they accept Him as their Savior, we understand that Hell is very real, and is the final, eternal judgment for those who reject Him. While we could go into all of the details, we need to pray for God’s leading. He knows the audience we are speaking to better than we do, so while there may be some that will hear the “Hell, fire and brimstone” message faster than God’s love, there are so many people who are hurting, and all they have experienced is someone’s anger. They need to know that He sees, and He loves them and wants a relationship with them! If you pray about what to say in any given situation, God will guide you.

This is truly our “such a time as this” moment. The Lord is coming soon; the evidence is all around us. When we look at the chaos on college campuses or the confusion in our culture, we have to realize that these people are lost and they need Jesus!

We need a heart that sees lost people as souls in need of a Savior rather than targets for our judgment. Unfortunately, if they don’t turn to Him for His free gift of salvation, they will know His judgment ~ it’s not our place to impose our judgment. We need to be His hands and feet so we can shine His light on the way to Him. Our job is to show them the truth in love so they can be freed from the hold satan has on them. The enemy is fighting to take every soul he can to hell, and we need to be gatekeepers, turning them to God.

God has placed each of us here at this time for a reason. It is a time to fight by standing on God’s Word, remembering that the fight, as it says in Ephesians 6, isn’t against “flesh and blood”, it is against the enemy that they don’t even realize exists. We need to fight for them with Godly boldness that is intertwined with His love, mercy, and grace. Let’s determine today to rise up as the warriors God has called us to be. Let’s share Him with this lost world so they can know Him and see that truly, His best is yet to come.
