Who Are You Looking For…?`

John 20:15-16,  He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?  Who is it you are looking for?”  Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.”  Jesus said to her, “Mary.”  She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (Which means “Teacher”)

The depth of emotions in these verses is powerful!  She was filled with sorrow and loss as she went to the tomb and then horror and feelings of hopelessness as she realized His body wasn’t there ~ and THEN, the love felt as He said her name, “Mary”, and the joy and excitement and strength because she saw Jesus and He’s alive!

Have you seen Jesus lately?  Have you ever really seen Him and accepted Him as your Savior, because I tell you He’s alive and He wants to have a close, personal relationship with you, regardless of where you’ve been or what you’ve done or haven’t done.  His love for you is beyond anything you could experience here on earth.  If you are saved, I still ask, “Have you seen Jesus?” I mean, really, for who He is, not just some fairytale figure, but a living, breathing, active God who wants to help you become all He created you to be? He sees you, and He wants to be seen by you as well.

So often the excuse is used that, “that’s just the way that I am”, but Jesus wants to change that and help you become who He created you to be!  He doesn’t want you stuck there. He wants so much more for you.  It is a lie from satan that you have to live with bad habits, sins, weaknesses, feelings of insecurity, depression, and anxiety.  God is the God of miracles, and He is always working, and He sees you just like He saw Mary.  He loves you just like He loved her.  As He calls your name, will you allow Him to work in you today so when others see you, they will know that you’ve seen Him because they will see Him in you?

We always want His best in our lives.  Are you willing to give Him your best ~ your life, today?  Will you release those things that are holding you back and allow Him to reveal who He is in and through your life?  Take all of those burdens, heartaches, struggles, etc., to Him today and allow Him to move and change all that needs to be changed so you can become all He created you to be.  Life on earth is short!  Don’t miss another moment.  He is coming soon!!
