Psalm 100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
When you have done what you can, and you don’t have a clue where to turn, Praise Him. When you are at the end of your rope, Praise Him. When you are fearful, Praise Him. When you feel like you just can’t wait one more day for an answer, Praise Him.
It is impossible to stay down if you are praising God! Don’t turn on sad music that will only illuminate how bad things are or how broken your heart is; turn on some real praise and worship music! Find a good Christian radio station that plays some great uplifting music, or if you are in an area where you can’t find a station, pull up music on YouTube or download a radio station’s app; there are tons of them, I know, because I have several on my phone. I want to have praise music at my fingertips so I can flip it on at the drop of a hat!
If you want to change the attitude in your home, play some praise music! I love to play different types of praise music, depending on where we all are at the moment; I love Toby Mac’s song “Move,” and I also love Hillsong’s “What a Beautiful Name,” and the list goes on and on. I love old-time Gospel Music! Turn on whatever will give you an attitude of praise and music that will remind you of the mighty God we serve!
Know this: when you start praising God for who He is and how amazing and wonderful and powerful His name is, you will find yourself going through His gates with Thanksgiving and you will go boldly to His throne with your petitions. Your faith will grow as you praise Him. Your struggles will get smaller as you remind yourself of just how mighty He is! Praise Him! Hold on to Him! Allow Him to fill you with praise and adoration so you can truly be all He created you to be today! The best is yet to come!
