Don’t Be Confused ~ God Said What He Said

by | Jun 12, 2026

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.  He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”

Satan made sure he worded his question in a way that would make Eve point out what they were missing.  He didn’t come to her directly, declaring that God wasn’t fair. He was slyly getting Eve to think about what she was missing and the “goodness” of having it.  You cannot let your guard down for a moment.  Satan is constantly pushing to distract, discourage you, and try to get you to question God’s goodness and what He has said.

Be careful that you don’t buy the lie that you are going to have to “do this yourself”.  There are times when we need to act, but there are times we need to take our hands off and allow God to do His thing, and we must wait and trust His timing! Be patient, too often we get to a point in the struggle or storm and satan starts throwing out lies to get us to think that it’s time for us to take the situation back, because clearly we are on our own.  Stop!  Don’t do it!  If you want God’s outcome, then you are going to have to allow God to work! God’s best only comes in God’s time. Seek His face in His Word! There are so many ways today to be able to learn more about Him and spend time growing spiritually. There are podcasts, you can watch church services from pretty much any city in the U.S. on YouTube, but don’t neglect spending time alone in His Word and in prayer!  Pour your heart out to Him and spend time with Him.  He has promised to direct your paths, and it is your choice whether or not you choose to follow Him.  Don’t get ahead of Him and don’t be discouraged, He is working even when you can’t see it!  Your answer is only found in Him, so trust Him and wait on Him, knowing that truly His best is yet to come!

Quote:  “Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.”  ~ Martin Luther King
