Luke 5:26, Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
Are you looking for God to do great things, or are you caught up in what things look like right now? This is not a “name it and claim it” message ~ I will clear that up now. Sadly, I have to say that for multiple reasons, but one reason it really disturbs me is that so many people are so worried about that concept that they never expect God’s blessing! God cares about every single detail of your life, and here’s the key that so many people miss ~ If you want God to do remarkable things in your life, then you must be walking with Him! You can’t just live any way you please and then just pop in as if God should just hop on that request. Obedience is vital in your walk with God. You can’t have His best if you are walking on your own path. His best is on His path for your life. If you are following Him, then you should be looking for Him to do remarkable things. How will you know He has if you are never looking for it?
God loves to do the remarkable because it brings Him glory. He loves you, and He sees and hears everything that is going on, so go to Him with everything, and when you do, expect Him to do remarkable things. He isn’t always going to do it your way, and His answer may be totally different than what you are expecting, but His answer is always best and right. God is so, so good, and He cares about you! When you truly care about someone, you enjoy doing remarkable things for them, it blesses you to bless them, and God cares so much. Not one tear you have cried has escaped His notice, not one day of tremendous joy has escaped His notice. His infinite love for you drives Him to see absolutely everything that matters to you in your life, and He wants to help you become all He created you to be.
The Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” If you are going boldly, shouldn’t you expect Him to do remarkable things? The Bible also tells us that when Jesus was in His hometown, He didn’t do many miracles because of their unbelief. How much could you be missing out on because you aren’t believing for anything from Him? Go to Him and take every care and every joy and share it all with Him. He is not only listening, but He cares about it all. Ask Him to guide you into a closer relationship with Him and start looking for Him in every aspect of your life. He has a plan for your life, and He wants to use your story to draw others to Him and to bring Him glory.
