Psalm 59:17  O my Strength, I will sing praises to you for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.

One thing we all long for in life is to love and be loved.  Most of us ladies grew up with the desire to one day have our prince in shining armor come along and swoop us off our feet and desperately love us and no one else for the rest of our happy lives!  We love the fairy tales like Cinderella and the romance novels and the main reason for that is because there is such a deep desire for the romance and love in our lives to be fed.

The big thing we fail to realize though most of the time is that even the love of a good man will not fill that longing completely and the reason for that is because God didn’t ever want us to decide we were fine without His love!  Now ladies catch this though, God can and will fill that need for you completely if you allow Him to.  I am not saying that you will never want a man to love you again, I am saying you will not be desperate for it.  There’s no love on earth that can fill us completely like the love of God can!  He loves us so completely and wholeheartedly that nothing can compare.  His love doesn’t change from day to day even in our weaknesses and mistakes, He loves us the same.  Once we can comprehend this thought, that He is our knight in shining armor and the love of our lives then when any one else loves us it is icing on the cake!  That way too when those who love us hurt us we don’t fall apart and totally lose perspective on life, it hurts desperately but our Strength, our Fortress, The God who shows us steadfast love will show up and heal our wounded hearts and give us the strength to carry on in spite of the damage done by those who should love us.

I truly believe that if there is one thing God would want you to understand about Him today it is that He loves you with His whole heart and He cares more than you can imagine about the tears you have cried, the frustrations you are facing and He will be your strength through your daily struggles if you will just lean on Him!  Trust Him today!
