God Is Still Working On His Plan For You!

Isaiah 55:10-11  “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Has God made you a promise (of course He has), is there something you know you are called to do?  Maybe there’s something you have felt called to do for years but it has never seemed to come about.  Maybe there’s something you are called to do and you were expecting everything to just come up roses or fall into place and it hasn’t.  Maybe you were called to do something and things have shifted, you are off the “mission field” you thought you were called to and back in the U.S.  What is it that you have found yourself wondering if you missed “it” lately?

God is still working and His plan is still in place.  As it says earlier in this chapter, “His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways.”  Just because you don’t really understand what He is doing now doesn’t mean that He isn’t using you just like He said He would.  It doesn’t mean the plans have even changed they may have just changed places or maybe there are some important lessons you are learning in the struggle you are facing right now.  Whatever the case may be, know that God didn’t just quit on you!  God’s word is always true.  If He has called you to do something He will work it all out and bring it all to pass!  Maybe the greatest mission field you could be on right now is here in the U.S.

God will accomplish all that He has said He will accomplish and you will succeed at what He has called you to do if you stick close and follow Him even when you don’t fully understand.  When I moved to Tennessee I expected it to be revolutionary and wonderful. (It was revolutionary all right!)  I was going to do youth ministry and I would live in the “wonderful Bible belt” and everything was just always going to fall into place!  Ha!  Nothing fell into place, everything fell apart seemingly within the first few months and I have faced some of the toughest struggles of my life since I moved here!  But, through it all I have grown and God has given me a passion for Ladies ministry and has opened doors that I would never have imagined.  Has it all been easy?  No!  Is it what I was expecting to do? Not in a million years, but do I love it and know that it is what God has brought me to do?  Yes!  I wouldn’t change it for anything!

Trust God to work it all out.  He knows how to best bring things about and how to bring the best out of you.  If you are afraid to take that first step into what God is calling you to do, remind yourself that He always loves you and will always do what is best for you.  He is always faithful.  Pray for His peace and direction today and trust that His word will always accomplish what He said it would and with Him there is success in all that He calls you to do!
