Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Are you tired of waiting and lately are you struggling with the idea of just doing something yourself to move forward? Don’t do it, wait on the Lord, He has a better plan. There are times we all face that seem to be too overwhelming to wait any longer for anything, but God is working and He will bring all of His promises to pass.
If you are needing strength today I would encourage you to reach out to God and ask Him to strengthen your heart. Ask Him to pour into all you need today. No one is exempt from troubles, in fact it seems everywhere I turn people are really struggling and feeling overwhelmed. Choose to rely on God, don’t try doing it yourself. As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:10 ……”For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Our greatest strength comes from fully relying on God. We have no strength within ourselves that compares to what God has for us. You need to rely on Him and the strength you will have will be beyond anything you could have even thought you would have.
Rest in Him today as He works on your behalf and as He guides you to all He has planned. Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” He wants you to give all of your sorrows and burdens to Him and to rest in His presence as He works on your behalf.
Everyone says they would like God’s best for their life but they don’t always want to follow Him in order to have it. God’s best is yet to come but it often comes with a price and that price is dying to self and allowing Him to work in and through you. His best is always best but it may not be necessarily what you are thinking right now. Maybe you would like to be served and treated like royalty but maybe His plan for you right now is for you to serve others. Whatever the case may be and whatever God has called you to I would encourage you today to wait on HIm and allow Him to finish what He is doing in you. Have you ever played with playdough with a child and right when you get to a point where you have almost finished making something for them they get too antsy and grab it and run off to show someone else and play with it. If you could have finished they would have seen it was a dog, not just a ball with funny flaps, but they just couldn’t wait any longer. Don’t do that with your life, don’t settle for less than God’s best. Wait on Him!
