Luke 5:4-6
And when he had finished speaking he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and there nets were breaking.

Are you about ready to give up? Have you been working hard and not seeing much of a result for all you have put into what you are doing? “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch!” God isn’t finished with you yet and your situation. If you are truly following Him and trusting Him for His leading then you know your labor isn’t in vain. He will bring about the answers and the results you need.

So often we are ready to throw in the towel and give up just before our answer arrives. Satan loves to make things look hopeless and will do his best to try to discourage you so you will give up and quit. Don’t allow him to have that kind of victory in your life! Pray and ask God for the strength you need to keep pressing forward. God will give you the grace and strength you need to persevere! Hold on to your hope and faith in Him!

Life is full of struggles and God knows what you need, when you need to be there and who you need to be with. There are times our success looks nothing like what we thought it would look like. Simon had been working hard all night trying to catch fish and then Jesus gave Him all he had been working for all night, after Peter caught all the fish he could have imagined, Jesus told him to follow Him because now he would learn to “catch men” instead of fish! Jesus gave him the success he thought he wanted and then gave Him a higher calling that Peter (Simon) knew nothing about! When we are obedient it opens us up to do greater things for God.

I would encourage you today to keep pressing forward, don’t give up, hold onto your hope and faith in God and be obedient in all He tells you to do! The best is truly yet to come!
