He Will Be Faithful ~ How About You Today

by | Feb 16, 2016

Psalm 37: 3
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

We often jump to the next verse which is also a verse that I love; “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” but we need to remember that we are called to be faithful in all that we do, not just seek the “desires of our heart”.
No matter what we are facing today and I know that pretty much everyone has something that they are struggling with on some level whether it is finances, relationship problems, sin or maybe health issues, we need to choose to feed on faithfulness! It is so easy and typical human nature to get to a point in the struggle where we want to just lash out because it is angering to wait for things to change or work out, but that is when we really need to press into God and fully rely on Him, trust Him and continue to do what is right and allow your heart to be filled with faithfulness to Him. We just think that the easy way out is to say, “you know what? Forget it! I am done trying to do what is right because nothing is going right and nothing is changing!” Feeling that way versus acting on it are two different things because the outcome of acting on those ideas would be destructive.

Choose to be faithful today no matter what you are facing! God is the answer ~ the only answer and He hasn’t forgotten you! He is working even if you can’t see it! God loves you and He will be faithful because that is who He is! If you are hurting and frustrated today because of what is going on in your life, I would like to encourage you to give it back to God because obviously you have picked it back up and you are trying to work it out on your own again! Give it to Him, ask Him for His strength and His answers, He does want to help but you have to quit trying to “fix it” yourself. Remain faithful, don’t allow Satan’s lies to discourage you because that is exactly what they are ~ lies!

God is the god of all and as much as He wants to help you and those around you, you must always remember; He will no more make those other people change than He will you! God does not force His plans on us, He doesn’t force us to be faithful, He does ask us to trust Him though! We must remember that we can trust Him with the outcome and that means that if you fully trust Him then you know that no matter what comes your way, no matter how this turns out, God will give you the strength and blessing you need in your life to face it. The best is yet to come, trust Him for it and be faithful!
