Hold On To Your Faith In The One Who Can Move That Mountain

Hebrews 10: 36-39. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of  God you may receive what is promised.  For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one  will come and will not delay; but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”  But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

There are some days that may seem like a pretty tall order, but you can do it!  We know the truth, God has given us His written word and we know that He doesn’t change, He cannot lie, so if He has promised something He will do it!  Hold on to that through your struggles.

I know what it is like to be overwhelmed by attack after attack by satan and overwhelming heartache, loss, and abuse and I have learned that there’s only one place to go for answers and relief.  God is your rock, hold on to Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”  He is the only one who truly knows all of your heartache and struggles and He is the only one who can give you answers, heal your broken heart, and vindicate you!  He loves you!  I get the idea now of wanting to sit covered with sackcloth and ashes because of the weight and sorrow of attacks or struggles that blindside you and run you over like a train but there is hope.  It is found in Him!  Don’t shrink back!

Remember Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”  So, don’t live as though you have no hope, trust God, and pour your heart out to Him today! I would encourage you today to write down any verses that come to mind that will encourage you!  Hold on to your hope found in Him and don’t let go and don’t shrink back!

If you are not necessarily going through a valley right now in life, that is fantastic, I would encourage you to reach out today to someone you know is hurting.  Let them know you are thinking about them, maybe take them out for coffee or buy them a card.  Think of something that you know would bless them and encourage them today.  Stop for a moment and pray for them and let them know you are praying for them.  So often when we face heartaches and struggles or tremendous loss, everyone is there in the beginning and then as the weeks go by and you are still overwhelmed, everyone else has moved on and had seemingly forgotten, so even a simple text saying, “I am still praying for you” will brighten their day!  Do what you can to be His hands and feet in the lives of those around you!

I would encourage you to spend more time with Him, both in His Word and in prayer. Trust Him, knowing that He’s got you and truly His best for us is yet to come!
