John 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 3:16  For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish but have everlasting life.

We all love this time of year of getting together with family and friends and celebrating the birth of Jesus by showing our love for each other by giving gifts and having great meals together and just basking in the Joy of the season.  It truly is “the most wonderful time of the year”!

Now, here is my challenge for you this weekend:  take a moment and reflect on when you accepted Christ as your savior.  First of all, was there a time?  I remember accepting Christ as my savior like it was yesterday.  I was with my Dad as he explained everything to me and I knelt down by a chair in my Mom and Dad’s room and prayed asking God to forgive me of my sin and to live in my heart and be the Lord of my life.  I can remember being so immediately concerned as a small child about my cousins and whether or not they knew about Jesus!  I couldn’t wait to tell them so they could accept Jesus too.  When was that day for you?

If you have not had a day that you know that you have made that decision I would encourage you to do it right now!  Don’t wait another minute!  Don’t allow pride to keep you from God if others already think you are saved.  How awful would it be to miss out on eternity with Him because of the pride of worrying about what “others will think”.  Satan uses the craziest lies to keep people from having a relationship with God.  Don’t let anything keep you from the Savior today!  Salvation is so simple and so free – there is nothing you can do to earn this gift anymore than a 2 year old can earn the Christmas gift of a parent.  All we have to do is accept it and allow Him to truly be the Lord of your life!

Make this the most wonderful Christmas ever!  Pray for those you love and for those who are even just acquaintances to find Jesus today as the answer to everything they have ever been looking for!  If it is you that hasn’t had that moment in your life toss aside the pride and fear of others and trade it in for a new life in Christ!  There is nothing more fulfilling and satisfying and wonderful as walking daily with Jesus through all the craziness of life!  Don’t wait another minute.  If you accept Jesus as your Savior please email us and let us know at [email protected]
