Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace , that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
When you pray are you praying with the confidence that God is listening and cares or are you assuming that your prayers are lucky to rise above the ceiling? It is so easy to think that our feelings are telling us the days that God is really listening and then on other days when we are down and out that He isn’t. That is such a silly concept but I’ve yet to meet anyone who hasn’t felt that way at some time or another.
The other day I was cleaning the kitchen and walking and “ranting” to God about some things I was frustrated about when my 3 year old granddaughter walked into the kitchen. I stopped when I heard her coming in and she looked around and then looked at me funny and asked, “Mimi, who are you talking to?” Obviously there was no one else in the room and I replied, “God”. She looked at me with a look of “seriously?” and said, “Mimi, He’s in Nineveh!” Ok, well instead of trying to explain the omnipresence of God at that moment, I just laughed and found something for her to do, but how many times have you felt that way? You are talking and He is in Nineveh!
God loves you and He is listening, His answer may not be immediate but He does care with His whole BIG heart and He will do what is best for you and your family! Don’t lose faith because your answer is slow in coming or you just don’t “feel” like He is listening, He is right where you are and He is working on your situation. Take heart today and know that God is listening and the best is yet to come!
