Prepare Yourself, Your Answer Could Show Up All Of A Sudden

2 Chronicles 29: 36
And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because God had prepared for the people, for the thing came about suddenly.

Prepare yourself because your answer may be closer than you think! God seems to have a tendency to do things “suddenly” or at least it seems like it comes about all of a sudden. Look at Joseph, one day he is in prison and he had been there for years and the next thing he knows he is being cleaned up to stand before Pharaoh and was made second in command to him. To us it looks as though it happens all of a sudden but in reality God is always working and preparing the way so ‘all of a sudden’ to us things change!

Nothing takes God by surprise but He certainly is full of surprises. So often when we just feel as though we can’t take any more, the answer is there. Don’t lose heart because it doesn’t seem as though things are working out, hold on to God and all the hope you have in Him. Praise Him for His goodness even in the storms. Know that He loves and cares and is working on this no matter how bleak the situation seems to be.

It is so easy to get frustrated and just want to throw in the towel and give up, but where does that leave you? Does it ever pay to just give up? I’ve never seen where I have benefited by giving up, it’s really sort of a dumb idea if you think about it. God knows what is best and He sees the big picture and His desire is always for our good. Trust Him to do what is best and if the answer isn’t turning out quite the way you thought it would trust that He knows the path you need to take. It is so important for us to faithfully and blindly trust Him, it isn’t always easy because we want to see ‘what, when and where’, but we need to trust that He does see and He knows. If we knew what He knows we would want what He wants.

Hold on to your faith and hope in Him today and know that this thing may happen more suddenly than you think. God loves you and cares about every detail of your life. Don’t allow negative thoughts and circumstances to discourage you. Pull out His promises that are in His word and hang on because the best is yet to come!
