Exodus 3:1-2
Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
Moses was just strolling along doing what he was supposed to be doing in his everyday life when God revealed the Call He had for Moses life. You never know when or what God may call you to do at any given point in your life.
When I was 12 years old at Lake Ann Bible Camp I remember like it was yesterday, God speaking to my heart and I just knew I was called to be a missionary. When I went to Bible College no matter who I spoke with I was discouraged because I was a single woman and no one really took me serious. Once I got married my husband was attending Bible college and I kept trying to encourage him that I just believed we were either supposed to work with teens or be missionaries ~ he wasn’t too open to either idea, then several years later we ended up divorced and I just knew I must have been mistaken when I was 12, I was never going to be able to do anything on any level for God again. I was wrong and that was a lie straight from Hell. Don’t allow Satan to tell you that kind of garbage or anyone else you know! That is not true and God always has a plan if you are open to it! Since then I have worked in youth groups with teens, raised 3 of my own, worked with Bill on a syndicated show called Xtreme Youth Alliance and The Sound of Light for teens and now He has blessed me with Chocolate and God! God is never finished with you here on this earth until He takes you home and then guess what….. He still has plans for you!
I am certain that when God spared baby Moses life his Momma knew there was a plan for that little man, little did she know how big that plan was! Have you had someone telling you that there is more for you to do? Are you open to hearing what God has to say about His plans for you? No matter who you are, no matter where you are and believe me, I can tell you from experience, the less you may feel qualified to do what you feel He is telling you to do the more likely you are called to do it! As the old saying goes, “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” God’s strength is shown in our weakest areas and moments, don’t underestimate Him.
Seek God today, right where you are and whatever you may be doing. Ask Him to give you a clean heart and a right Spirit so you can hear His voice and you can line your life up with what He has to say. Allow Him to use you to be all that you are called to be today! The best is yet to come if you just follow Him!
