John 11:17 Now when Jesus came, He found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days.
What are you facing today? Mary, Martha and Lazarus were facing Lazarus’ death! Maybe you are facing illness, financial problems, marriage problems, addictions that just seem to defeat you, whatever it is keep this thought in mind; if God, our God can raise Lazarus from the dead He certainly can handle anything you are facing today! Trust me, I am not making light of what you are facing I am just trying to help you see that your God can handle it!
Mary and Martha were so distraught because they knew that if Jesus would just show up He could heal Lazarus, do you think they thought maybe He didn’t care while they were waiting or that He was too busy or maybe they thought He had more important things to do and all hope was lost because Lazarus died! The Bible tells us that God cares so much He keeps track of each and every one of our tears. He hasn’t forgotten where you are and what you are facing, He may just be waiting for the perfect timing so that His glory will shine all over your situation!
Jesus loved Lazarus and He loves you! He truly wants what is best for you and absolutely nothing is impossible for Him. What is it that you need His focus on? Take it to Him and believe just as Martha did in these verses: John 11:21-22 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.”
Don’t give up now. Don’t let go of that dream, don’t give up on that marriage or that child, unless God tells you that you will not be healed believe Him for healing in your situation! It’s time to pray and ask God to give you the faith you lack to give you back all that you have lost and to restore your joy and your life! Remember; if Jesus could raise Lazarus from the dead, your situation is a piece of cake, He’s got this!
I encourage you today to hang onto the Hope that only comes from God and know that He loves you and will walk you through this! Trust in His power to resurrect you in your finances, marriage, to bring your child back to Him, to give you a child, give you victory over that addiction or whatever it is, trust that He will do what is always right and best for you!

I need prayer today to get me through this situation with a particular friend our relationship seems to be crumbling but I am asking for God to help restore this relationship and allow the other person to recognize and appreciate my worth. I just need to be strong within this situation and I am asking God for this strength

What to do when you have situations in the past where you put all of your faith in God for a very long time, believing through incredibly difficult and dangerous experiences, you even believed after the burial for the resurrection, only to have that prayer go unanswered?
Today, while the Lord has blessed my life greatly, and I am often content, I still deal with deep fear and distrust for my future. For things that I hope for the most I dread or am afraid to hope. I do not ever want to be in the position of having put so much of myself on the line in faith and trust only to have it stabbed so deeply to the heart. It would be too much to bear. And this shadows so much of my life. I struggle with depression and hopelessness. and also a sense that my life is pointless or worthless. While part of me has let go of the past, and is content with my present, another part of me cannot let myself move forward lest I end up so devastated by another disappointment. I have a hard time trusting God with the most delicate, tender and precious dreams if I know that they could be smashed to bits with a fiery whim.
I keep trying to reconcile my loss with the two sides of God that I know: the angry God and the loving God. I have been told and believe that God is not angry, but I have a hard time accepting this and really believing it.
I remember feeling the same way after my divorce years ago. I was so upset because I had prayed so hard for God to change my husband and my reasoning was that he had turned the hearts of kings years ago any way He chose so I couldn’t understand why He wouldn’t make my husband change. I was angry and didn’t trust God for a few years because I just couldn’t understand.
We do live in a day of grace now and God doesn’t “make” people change and He doesn’t always intervene, but He does always care! Satan does His best to keep us down and in fear after we have been through so much because His goal is to use every hurt and every frustration we have in life to keep us from God’s best!
The opposite of faith is fear! Fear is Satan’s distortion of faith!
I had to finally get to the point where I could choose to trust God again and to step out in faith believing that whatever came my way He would bring me to the other side. We live in an imperfect world and there will be hurts, trials and frustrations until we are in heaven but the key is this; fear is not going to help you get through – you can build all the walls you want and they will not keep hurt away. God is the only answer and trusting Him will bring you a peace that you cannot find living in fear. God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind! God wants you to live in peace! He wants you to trust Him to always hold you and love on you and bring you through whatever life throws at you! Ask God to give you the courage you need to focus on Him instead of your fear so you can truly live free from the bondage of fear that Satan is trying to keep you in. I wish I could say you can just snap your fingers and the fear would be gone but I know that I had to choose daily and still do at times to remember that whatever He allows to come my way He will give me all I need to make it through. The victory will only come in making Satan stop and the only way to do that is to take your thoughts captive and when he starts telling you lies and sets up scenarios that don’t even exist yet tell him to stop! Choose to believe God’s truth for your life, memorize Jeremiah 29:11 and every time satan tries to throw discouragement at you, claim that verse and remind him that God has a plan for your life and it is a great one!
