Esther 8:15-17 Then Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal robes of blue and white, with a great golden crown and a robe of fine linen and purple and the city of Susa shouted and rejoiced. The Jews had alight and gladness and joy and honor. And in every province and in every city, wherever the kings’s command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Jews, for fear of the Jews had fallen on them.
Stay faithful, allow God to be your strength to finish strong because your deliverance is coming! I know how tough it can be when everything in you just wants to scream because you can’t take another day of “it”, whatever your “it” is but if you can just hold on a little bit longer, God has a plan and it is a plan to deliver you and prosper your situation to bring Him glory!
The only thing Mordecai did “wrong” in his day was to refuse to bow down to another man because he knew he was only to bow down to God and Haman in his pride couldn’t handle it. The story of Esther has so many lessons we can learn from and one of them is about pride as well as the story of deliverance; Haman was so full of himself he couldn’t handle anyone not making him their “center of attention”. Be careful that you don’t become self centered – stay God centered and you will find less of what others do will offend you or hurt your feelings. When our focus is on ourselves we become so easily offended and hurt we are miserable. God loves you and wants to be your focus so you can be affective in your walk with Him.
All looked hopeless for the Jews just a couple days before this verse, they were mourning and weeping over their situation and then not only did God bring them deliverance He brought them a mighty victory! Do you feel that way today? Is your situation just so overwhelming that you just don’t know what to do anymore? Don’t give Satan the opportunity to speak into your situation, focus on God and ask Him for the strength, grace and mercy for your situation so you can make it through to the other side! He will bring it to pass and He will bring you deliverance and victory beyond your imagination but you need to hold on to him and stay faithful.
