A Little Faith Can Go A Long Way

Hebrews 11:1-2. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

We could all use a little more faith I am sure because we all struggle with the non-stop battle against all of the lies satan throws at us to discourage us.  I don’t care who you are, satan will do his best to try to discourage you in all that you do and he will throw every lie imaginable at you to make you think that God doesn’t care.  Since we know all of that, then that is where we need to begin!

You must begin with guarding the doors of your heart and mind.  Check every thought and comment that comes in to see if it is destructive.  If you are living with someone who is verbally abusive, I would seriously suggest seeking out some godly counsel to help you.  If for some reason that is not available to you, believe me, I have been in that situation, you can still fight it and win with God’s help!  Your self-talk is the first thing you must check.  Nothing good comes from running yourself into the ground!  God made you and He made you with potential, there are no limitations with God.  No matter where you are or what you have done or what anyone else has ever said about you, God wants to make you whole and He wants to build you up to be all He created you to be!  Start by making a list of all of the lies you are believing about yourself or about your situation and then take that list to God and ask Him to help you write down His truth about each of those things!  Remember; Jeremiah29:11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Seek Him and what He has to say about you!  He created you with a purpose!

Whatever area it is in your life that you are lacking faith in, ask God for more faith!  Be like the man in Mark 9:24, who said, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”  God wants you to have faith, He doesn’t want you to be discouraged!  What purpose would it serve to have a bunch of powerless Christians walking around?  He wants you to believe!  He wants you to be victorious!  He wants to show Himself mighty in your life!  He loves you and created you with all of the ability you need to accomplish all that He created you to accomplish.  Trust Him!  Create a list of affirmations of God’s truth for your situation today and keep it with you so you can go over them any time, especially when your faith starts to waiver!  Know that there is nothing that is too difficult for God and know that He wants His best for you!  The best is yet to come!
