Are You Doubting Today? Grab Onto Your Faith and Hold On!

Matthew 14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him and said unto him, “Oh thou of little faith, wherefore did you doubt.”

I don’t know about you but I have been in those moments just like Peter where I thought I was a pillar of faith until I looked around at what was going on around me and I started to sink. The man was walking on water ladies! I have heard so many preachers talk down about Peter and his denying that he knew Jesus and how small his faith was but I am thinking today that he had quite a bit of faith to take that first step. What is God calling you or maybe your husband or children to do that seems to be a little over the top and your faith is wavering a bit over taking that first step?
We need to have the attitude that the people had who had heard of the miracles that Jesus performed who believed that if they could just touch the hem of his garments they would be healed. Matthew 14:35-36 “And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about and brought unto him all that were diseased; and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment; and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.” Now that is faith!
“Jesus Loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so” really, do you believe that or are they just words to a song that you learned as a child? He loves us beyond measure, even if we take the best of love and intentions and grace that we can imagine it still falls short of his love, intentions for us and grace he shows to the human race. Allow Him today to fill you with everything He has for you spiritually. Trust Him in that area you have been afraid to give Him! There’s no better place for your fears and struggles than in the palm of His hand. Let it go ladies and let Him take care of it. Trust Him to do what is right and best. He loves you!
