Malachi 1: 6b – 8. But you say, “How have we despised your name?” By offering polluted food upon my altar. But you say, “How have we polluted you?” by saying that the Lord’s table may be despised. When you offer blind animals in sacrifice is that not evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick is that not evil? Present that to your governor, will he accept you or show you favor? says the Lord of hosts.
Are you truly giving God your best today? Are you choosing your best attitude? Are you giving Him your best when you are dealing with others? Are you giving Him your best when you set your priorities? Do others see His best in you? Do you give your best at work?
We always want God’s best for us and yet I am afraid that we often overlook giving our best to Him in all that we do. Whether we are serving in church or a restaurant or we are at home caring for our children or grandchildren, in our finances, in our relationships, no matter what it is we need to make sure that we are giving God our best.
God loves you so much and He wants His best for you, but He also wants your best from you. He wants you to serve Him in a way in all that you do so others will see Him in you! Ask Him today to show you if there is something you could change to better serve Him! The best is yet to come!
