Are You Loving or Hating The Season You’re In

Ecclesiastes 3:1,  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

I grew up in Northern Michigan where the change in seasons was very distinct. I have always loved them all for the different things they bring and yet there were times when those seasons didn’t quite bring what we may have thought they should or what would be considered normal.  In 1978 we had our historic blizzard and we were snowed in for over a week.  There are Autumn seasons that you wish were dry and colorful and instead, they are rainy and cold.  There are Spring seasons that don’t come soon enough or last so long you don’t feel as though Summer ever came.  I am certain that no matter where you grew up or you live now it can be the same way and that is how life is too.  Just when you think you understand the season you are in everything changes and you don’t know which end is up or what may be coming next.  Just as it is with the weather, no matter which season you are in today, good, bad, or ugly, life is always changing.

The one constant you have in your life is the fact that God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.  He does not lie and He is faithful beyond our comprehension.  His desire is for all people to come to know Him and if they do know Him, to get their hearts in line with His so He is forever reaching out.  He has a plan and that fact never changes either.  He has a plan for your life, the lives of those around you, and for the world.  He will always work within His plan and He will always do what is right.  He doesn’t change.  You can count on that!  He loves you and He wants to guide you into all He created you to be.  So, no matter what you may be facing today or what you may face down the road you can count on the fact that He is there and He wants to lead you through life.  Don’t wait for storms to hit in order for you to draw as close to Him as you can.  Seek Him early.  If you live somewhere where you may get a lot of snow, then you know too that you don’t wait until there is a blizzard to stock up on things you may need, you are always prepared.  Don’t wait to go deeper in your walk with God either, get intentional with a plan of study to grow closer to Him.

Seasons will come and go in life, the one you are in now will change.  “It came to pass…”. It didn’t come to stay, life is always changing so I encourage you to stick close by His side and follow Him in all that you do.  Stay faithful to Him knowing that truly His best is yet to come!
