Are You Miserable?

Colossians 4:6  Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Have you ever been around someone that just constantly complains and moans and groans about everything with nothing good or positive to say until you just think you might scream if they don’t stop?  Is that person you?

The Bible tells us over and over to be in control of what comes out of our mouths and that whatever is coming out of our mouths stems from our hearts and tells a lot about our walk with God.  Maybe it is time to stop focusing on what isn’t right or good enough or maybe enough or too much or whatever the case may be and start looking at all you have to be thankful for!  We have a lot to be thankful for if we just stop and think about it.  Our hearts fill up with whatever it is we focus on – if you are excited about something you are about to do you are filled with that excited emotion and the same goes for if you are focusing on the negative and everything you can find wrong with your life you will be filled with that horrible negative emotion and basically you hold Satan’s hand as you spit in the face of God.

Stop and think about it for a moment ……. what do you have to be thankful for?  Can’t think of anything?  It may take getting on your knees before God and asking Him to “Create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you” and then try again.  Don’t allow Satan to rob you of your joy, thankfulness and victory in your life.  Get a grip!  Your thoughts and words spoken will make or break your day and could even make or break all of your relationships around you.

Maybe it isn’t you, maybe it is someone you live with – then what?  How are you supposed to handle all of that coming your way?  Don’t get caught up in it!  You have a choice too and you can decide that you are going to hold onto who you are in Christ and all that you have to be thankful for and claim God’s victory over your day!  Don’t be poisoned by someone else’s negative attitude!  Ask God for the strength to block it all out and show you all that He is doing in your life that you have to be grateful for!  Stop the cycle.  Pray against all that Satan is trying to do in your home with all of that negative floating around and ask God to give you and the Holy Spirit victory in your house!

God loves and cares for you and His desire is for your good.  Pray for His attitude to fill you today and for the strength to reject the lies that Satan is trying to use to tear apart your home!  If you want the best then you have to stop focusing on the garbage!
