Are You Reaching The End of Your Rope?

Psalm 142:3
When my spirit faints within me, you know my way!

Do you or have you ever felt as though you are in the “depths of despair”? You just feel as though you just can’t go on. I’m not real sure what we think we are going to do at that point, not to make light here, but really we have to go on. No matter what we are facing life keeps moving on and so do we but it comes down to; whose strength do we move forward with?

When you get to that point where you just can’t take it any more and you feel as though something has got to give, it is time to fully trust God to do what needs to be done. Getting frantic or throwing some sort of hissy fit won’t make the changes that need to be made. As it says in this verse, “you know my way’, God is aware of where you have been and where you are headed and which path will best suit all that He has planned for you. Don’t get discouraged, it always seems to look and feel the worst just before things turn around. Satan likes to throw everything he can at us to discourage us from all that God has called us to.

I love the movies Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea (hmmm, may have to watch those later today,) but little Miss drama queen, Anne would make comments like, “I’m in the depths of despair!” and Marilla, her adoptive parent would tell her, “to despair is to turn your back on God!” That may be a bit of a dramatic example but you get the point. There’s no need for despair, God can handle anything that comes your way. He can handle your finances, your marriage, your children, your desire for children, your job or lack of one, He can mend your wounded heart. There isn’t a tear you have shed that He hasn’t seen, He loves you and cares about all you are facing and have faced. God wants to share this time with you, no matter how big or seemingly small it may be.

Remind yourself as you pray to Him today about all you are facing or others you know are facing of who God is! He is the God of All, The Creator of all, our Savior, King of Kings, The Almighty and only God, He created you and loves you and cares about every detail of your life. This thing you are facing is but a small thing for Him to handle. Give it all to Him including how things turn out. Know that you may not understand what He is doing or maybe even the outcome right now but it is all for His glory and your good! You can trust Him with it all, He knows your way!
