Be All You Were Created To Be

2 Corinthians 5:18-20,  All of this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:  that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.  We implore you on Christ’s behalf:  Be reconciled to God.  God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

We all need to be more intentional about becoming more of who we were created to be.  If that thought exhausts you then maybe it’s time to either let go of some other things in your life or maybe you are viewing it wrong.  It can be exciting to dig in and learn more about all of the potential God created you with and exciting to learn new things.  No matter what your age, or maybe what you have thought or have been told about your potential it is time to stop all of that and ask God.  Who does He say you are?  How can He make His appeal to others through you if you are too busy trying to fix them instead of becoming who You were created to be?

Are you willing to be stretched?  Don’t settle for where you are!  You still have more life to live and you are called by God to be reconciled to Him and who He says you are!  Too often some people get so busy trying to “fix” everyone around them and they never reach their own potential because they never stop to work on themselves.  We are not here to “fix” anyone else.  We are here to be an example and to build each other up so we can inspire each other to be all we were created to be.  Don’t exhaust yourself trying to fix anyone other than yourself.  If you truly want the people around you to change I would suggest praying for God to work in their lives as only He knows how to do and for Him to “change you”.  It’s easy to look around and see what someone else needs to change, but God wants to help you become all He created you to be and that just isn’t going to happen if you are focussed on everyone else.

Ask God today what His dreams are for your life.  What is He trying to reconcile you to?  How can you become more like Him and all you were created to be?  If you ask and you are open to His leading He will show you.  Are you open to His doing a new thing?  Are you open to being stretched?  It is rarely a comfortable thing, but it is the only way you will grow.  Don’t miss out on your full potential because you are comfortable.  You have all of eternity to be “comfortable”, right now it is time to live a life that inspires others and draws them to Him.  Trust Him and seek Him with your whole heart knowing that then truly His best is yet to come!
