Beauty For Your Ashes….

by | Mar 29, 2020

Isaiah 61:3b. to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  they will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Is there something today that has you feeling less than beautiful, less than capable, maybe you have lost more lately than you can bear and the grief is overwhelming.  What’s going on that has left you in some area of your life just feeling that you aren’t enough in one way or another?

God made you beautiful in every way.  He has a purpose for all that He created you to be.  He wants you to be able to walk in that confidence and He wants you to allow Him to help you be all you can be for Him!

He loves you and if you are mourning someone or something today He wants to restore your joy and make you stronger for all you have faced.  When they were grieving in Isaiah’s day they would put ashes on their heads, God is saying here that He wants to replace your ashes with a crown of beauty if you will allow Him to.  God knows your every heartache and every tear you have cried and He wants to carry you through your grief and heal your broken and wounded heart.  He wants to restore you!

If you are grieving a relationship that has fallen apart, allow God to heal your heart and guide you through.  Trust me, I have been through a divorce many years ago and for some reason, that first year can be a mess if you don’t allow God to love on you and guide your every move.  Draw closer to Him and allow Him to bring people into your life to love on you and to minister to you in your time of need.  God wants you to come out of this stronger and empowered to be the best you that you can be and He is right by your side to help make sure that happens.  Change is scary and difficult at times but a lot of times change can be one of the best things that happen in your life!  Allow God to guide your steps!  If it isn’t a marriage relationship, but a child, parent or friend, trust God to make it right.

If there’s a mountain in your way and you are just not feeling as though you are capable of doing what you need to do, hold on to the truth of God’s word, knowing that He has placed within you all that you need to accomplish all that He has for you to do!

Hold on to your hope in Christ today and give Him all that you are facing!  He loves you, knows what is best and is working right now to restore you.  Stay close to Him and allow Him to bring out all the beauty you possess, all of our hope is found in Him!  Truly the best is yet to come!
