1 Chronicles 5:20, They were helped in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands because they cried out to I’m during the battle. He answered their prayers because they trusted in Him.
Okay, so I don’t know about you but I am beginning to feel as though I must have “trust issues” with God that He is trying to deal with because lately, that seems to be the focus of my devotions. Where are you on the “trust scale”? Do you really trust Him? It’s easy to trust with little things, but what about those life-changing ones? What about the burdens of your heart issues? What if His answer is different than what you are thinking? Is there anything that you are holding back on?
God is calling us to trust Him! Not just a little, but fully trust Him, not holding anything back. Do you pray knowing that whatever His answer is to what you are praying is for your good or do you plan it all out for Him, including the outcome, so He knows exactly how you expect Him to handle it? Do you pray with an open hand asking Him to do whatever He sees as best? Why is it we feel as though we need to be in control with God? That actually seems like a rather funny statement and yet that is what we are doing when we don’t trust Him with it all. God is still in control whether we trust Him or not and whether we give it to Him or not and the crazy thing is we know that He will reward us for having faith in who He is and for trusting Him and His heart toward us. So what is not to trust and why should we ever feel as though we know best?
God loves you and His desire is to get glory from your life so are you trusting Him today? If you are struggling with having faith and trust today ask Him to give you the strength to let it go and give it all to Him! Remind yourself of Jeremiah 29:11-13. Ask God to give you His heart and direction in all that you do and for the decisions you need to make! Don’t lose heart! Get excited because you can truly know that if you are trusting God and giving everything in your life to Him then truly His best is yet to come!
