Isaiah 43:16, 18-19
This is what the Lord says – he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Are you ready for a new beginning? A fresh start with no mistakes in it? Here’s your chance! Let’s begin this new year with a fresh attitude for all of the new things God has planned! Learn from past mistakes and then leave them in the past and move on! It never does us any good to camp on what has happened, good or bad, in the past other than for it to be a lesson, don’t dwell there!

If you will allow God to He has plans to move you into new uncharted territories. He will show Himself mighty in your life as you allow Him to lead you on to new things! It isn’t easy letting things and circumstances go that we are comfortable with and used to but trust me if you will just let go and let God you will be amazed at the abundant life you will live. Now, don’t run with my saying “abundant” thinking I am going for prosperity devotions here, abundant can cover a lot of territory and I am sorry but seriously which one of you would be disappointed if it was abundance in your finances as well? Just allow God to decide what abundance means for your life and I am sure you will be happy with that!

“Do you not perceive it?” Sometimes we get so caught up in the same old, same old thing that we miss that God is trying to move us forward to something new and different! Is there something you have always had in the back of your mind that you thought you would like to do or maybe you were called to do? Maybe now is that time! Pray and ask God for His direction and ask Him what new plans He has for this New Year for you and your family. Get excited and know that God does have a plan for you and He is preparing the way for you. Write out Jeremiah 29:11 and carry it with you to remind you that He is giving you a new hope and future, all you need to do is follow Him! The best is yet to come!
