Can’t You See It?

Isaiah 43:16-19,  Here is what Adonai says, who made a way in the sea, a path through the raging waves; who led out chariot and horse, the army in its strength~ they lay down, never to rise again, snuffed out and quenched like a wick:  “Stop dwelling on past events and brooding over times gone by; I am doing something new; it’s springing up ~ can’t you see it?  I am making a road in the desert, rivers in the wasteland.”

So, what are ya doing?  Are you comfortable or locked into where you are or maybe what you are doing?  Do you have the mindset of “this is how I have always done it” or are you open to something new?  Too often people want change in their lives, but they aren’t open to something new.  How are things going to change if we don’t?  Now, be careful who you allow to speak into your life.  Make sure that any advice you are being given would line up with God’s Word.  The world is full of advice, but our goal is to become more like Him.  Pray about it and God will bring you the right people.

Have you felt lately like your whole world has been flipped upside down?  Sometimes God allows that in order to get you to move!  There are times when other people may be removed from your life because they are not headed down the same life path you are and God needs to separate you.  It doesn’t mean they are bad necessarily, it may mean that you have different things to accomplish and God knows it will work better apart, and there are times when some people may just hold you back because they are ok with staying where they are in life and God is moving you on into something different.  Pray about it, but don’t fret over it.  God sees the big picture and He knows what is best.

Don’t cling to the past, whether good or bad, your future is in front of you.  Focus on God and all that He is calling you to.  He has a plan for your life, yes, I am going to write it here again, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:11-13.  If you want His plan then you need to be open to something new when He puts it in front of you.  If He is calling you to something new, He will provide all you need to do it, but you cannot cling to your old ways, you must allow Him to guide you.  Don’t miss out on your future by either dwelling on your past or by being so locked into your comfort zone that you are not willing to change or do something different.  Spend time seeking Him with your whole heart and trust Him that His best is yet to come!
