Choose To Continue in Faith

Luke 18:42. And Jesus said to him, “Recover your sight; your faith has made you well.”

This poor blind man had been rebuked by the crowd, telling him to be quiet and not to bother Jesus but Jesus told them to bring him to Him.  It is amazing how some people will do their best to discourage someone from “bothering Jesus” with their problems, they would rather you just go along as you are and accept it as “God’s will” for your life.

Unless God Himself tells you that you need to accept your illness or financial state or family issues as they are because He isn’t going to move on it then you need to keep praying.  I do not understand why some people want to choose to be negative over having faith.  The Bible is clear that “without faith it is impossible to please God” Hebrews 11:6, so why would we not pray for God to move in our lives and believe that He cares enough to do it.  Does that mean everything always turns out the way we want or expect?  No, but it does always mean that God will move and do what is best in your situation.  I have watched as people get really annoyed over preachers who have the gift of encouragement, instead of taking the good out of the message and understanding that God does what is best, He isn’t an in the air “Sears and Roebucks”.  Why get angry over someone encouraging you to be positive and have more faith?  Use your head and get to know Who God is and grow closer to Him so you will have His desires for your life. He is still a God of Miracles and He wants to show Himself mighty in your life!

Don’t allow negative people who only think God is about judgment, keep you from Jesus and from having the faith to believe that God’s grace is sufficient for what you are going through (2 Corinthians 12:9).  Believe that God cares about every tear you have shed and He will move on your behalf to do what is best for you.  Trust Him that if the answer you get is not the answer you wanted that you would have prayed for the answer He is bringing if you knew what He knows about your situation and the “big picture” of your life.
