2 Corinthians 2:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
We have a responsibility as Christians to live out our relationship with God. We are called to live lives that will draw others to Him. If we are His ambassadors then we need to strive to be more like Him. The definition of an ambassador is: an accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country. The only thing that makes us “accredited” is our relationship with God. He wants a close relationship with you! He wants to show up mightily in and through you so when others look on they know it was Him!
He is so much more than just another version of “Amazon” up in the sky to jump when you need something! He needs to become the love of your life! He loves you more than words can say and He wants to walk through life with you on such a level that others will see Him! You must do your part. Don’t expect everything to just fall into your lap, do your part and then believe and trust Him for the rest! Sometimes we miss out because we are striving and getting frantic and He wants to shine through but He is waiting for us to calm down and trust Him. He wants to be present in your life on a moment-by-moment basis! He wants to be the first one that comes to your mind when you wake up and when you go to sleep! He wants to be the one you talk to all day about every little detail of what is going on in your life, the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful! He loves you that much!
We have been given a wonderful gift and there are so many people out there who have no idea about the love of God and it is our responsibility to live lives that will lead them to Him! He loves them that much too!
What areas might you be holding back from Him today that you need to give to Him? Is there something or someone that you have a death grip on that you are just not willing to give to Him? Ask yourself why you don’t trust Him with everything? Do you think that by holding on tight to it that you are somehow bettering yourself for it or worse yet “protecting” it or them from God? If we don’t trust Him with everything then the reality is that we don’t really trust Him with anything! Oh, believe me, this is as much for me as it is for you. I have to ask myself at times what on earth my problem is and exactly how do I think that I have any power to do something better than God? How crazy! Trust and faith are daily choices.
I would like to encourage you today to ask God how you might better serve Him? What areas do you need to give over to Him so He can shine through your life in a better way? What areas are you struggling in that you need to have His victory in? Trust Him! Get to know Him better by spending more time with Him! Ask Him to fill you and your life with all of Him in such a way that others are drawn to Him so they can know too that His best is yet to come!
