Does What You Face Today Seem Impossible? There is Hope!

1 Samuel 17:46b-47 “that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s and he will give you into our hand.”

These are the words of David when he went out to fight Goliath the giant. At the time of this battle between Israel and the Philistines there were no blacksmiths in Israel thanks to the Philistines so Israel didn’t have spears and javelins to fight with, they felt ill equipped to be fighting in the first place let alone Goliath and his brothers who were also giants.

Is there something in life that you are facing that you just don’t feel equipped on any level to handle? Do you feel as though it is all hopeless because there isn’t enough money to take care of the finances you are facing or maybe your marriage seems to be at a place that you feel as though not even all the counseling in the world could help, have you been waiting for “Mr. Right”, are you facing addictions that seem to have control of you and your life? What is it that you are facing today that you have just about totally given up on?  God is the God of the impossible, He is the God of miracles and the fulfiller of dreams and your destiny. God has a plan for your life and His desire is to give you victory in all that you are facing today so that everyone will know that the one and only God of all is in your life and actively working.

Don’t give up hope on anything that you know to be God’s will for your life, or in your spouses life or your children’s lives! Give it all to Him, hold onto your faith and God’s promises! Stay close to Him and allow Him to work in and through you! Believe me, I have faced a lot of crazy things over the years and I know how tough and discouraging things can get as a married woman, as a single Mom for 14 years, as a daughter in-law, as a step Mom, as a Mom, as a “Mimi” (Grandma was my Mom’s mom!), a lack of finances has seemed to be my trademark, walking in the will of God or those times I wasn’t in the will of God, life can certainly be a bit overwhelming and challenging at times! The best advice I can give you is to hold onto Him. Some of the best times I have had with God were some of my most challenging in life but it doesn’t have to be that way because you can have those great times with Him everyday if you just stay in His word and hold Him close to your heart and everything you do!

Let me encourage you today that God wants His best for you and wants to give you victory and hope! Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Draw close to God and hold on and He will give you victory!
