Don’t Neglect Walking Together

Romans 12:15,  “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”

The whole world seems to be becoming more recluse.  It is really sad that there’s less and less interaction between people.  God tells us in so many ways in His Word that we are to interact with other people just like in this verse, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”  It’s pretty tough to do that if we are not interacting with other people.

Even the mask situation keeps people silent compared to what they are without a mask.  I have walked past people wondering if it is someone I know but you don’t really want to stop them to see.

People need people and we need to be able to be a light to others and to show the love of Christ and that takes being intentional in reaching out and spending time together.  We all get so busy that it’s very easy to just neglect to do that, but that is not what God intended.  Life is tough and we need to walk with God together.  1 John 1:7 says, “If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses us from all sin.”  We need to have fellowship in our walk with Him in order to draw others to Him.  Truly walking with God and having other people walk with us brings accountability which also leads to a more godly life and victory over struggles with sin.  God intended for us to walk with Him and together.

God loves you more than words can say and He wants that love to flow through you to those around you, but that cannot happen if you are hardly ever around them.  Ask God today to show you if there’s anything that needs to change in this area.  Ask Him to bring the people into your life that you should be walking with.  Take the time to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.
