Isaiah 43:1 – 2, But now, this is what the Lord says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, and He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. For I am the Lord your God.”

So, have you been through the water, the storm, the fire, and back to the storm… and as the storm seems to be pulling back a little, all you can do is wait to see ~ what’s next?! The water? The fire? 

If you have been battling to remain faithful in your walk with God satan can be relentless in his continual attacks. He knows his time is short, so he has pulled everything out of his toolbox to use against you. He is trying to wear you down and get you to give up. He will use the age-old lies, and he may even start with the question, “Did God actually say…?” He is a liar, and He wants to attack your faith in God and the promises He has given you. He wants to make you feel alone. Maybe you have lost close friends, and you have no clue why, or you are dealing with all kinds of slander, attacks against your finances, your children, and your grandchildren. Whatever you hold dear, satan will try to attack. If he can make you doubt or get angry with God, then he has his foot in the door. I have had one attack on top of the next for so many years, it has been exhausting, but God is faithful, and there are no answers outside of Him! There’s no love, mercy, or grace outside of Him, and it is He who calls you by name, and is with you, and who redeems you. 

Don’t let go now! As the heat gets turned up, you can know that it’s almost time. I don’t know what God is calling you to, but it has satan bothered if he has been doing his best to defeat you. Praise God that we know, as it says in 1 John 4:4, “Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world.” Just keep calling out to God and trusting that He won’t be late. I know… some days can feel overwhelming, but what benefit is there in giving up? Where exactly would giving up on God leave you? It leaves people with no hope, no answers, and devoured by the enemy. Satan is an idiot because he underestimates the fight and determination God has put within you, so cling to God, resist the devil’s lies, put your armor on, and stand, no matter what it may look like around you. God is faithful! He will fight for you, and He is already preparing that table for you… Psalm 23:5. God has you in the palm of His hand, so don’t fear, keep praying for His strength, and He will vindicate you if you don’t give up.

Prayer is essential, so don’t allow anything to get in the way of your time with Him. The enemy will try to distract you or get you to think your prayers aren’t getting past the ceiling, but he is a liar! I love this quote from Noah benShea, “Prayer is a path where there is none.” Whatever it is you have been praying for that weighs heavily on your heart, keep praying, keep believing, and know that He is working on it all! One more thing to remember when you pray, please; you are not alone. Others are experiencing many similar things, and we all need to be praying for God to continue to strengthen His people and to give us all the faith, strength, wisdom, and discernment we need to continue to strive to be more like Him through it all.
