Figure Out Where You ‘Set’ The Lord and You Will Find Your Hope

Psalm 16:8-10
I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

Where have you “set” The Lord? May sound like an odd question at first, but I know of quite a few people who have put Him on the shelf while they go about doing their own thing and they just come back to get Him when there is a tragedy or need and they are missing out on all He has for them!

Our hope is always found in Him so whether or not you are facing fears, good times, bad times or just doing every day life, keep Him in His rightful place; always before you! There are so many battles that we face on a daily basis, we need to be solid in what we believe. Satan is trying to make even the strongest of Christians doubt. If you don’t continue to grow in Him and the knowledge of who He is you may find your faith wavering! Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

You don’t have to walk through life alone, He wants to be beside you, leading and guiding, healing and giving you hope! You can actually get excited about life again knowing that He is leading you in all that you do! Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope!”

Our faith is strengthened by knowing He is at our side, leading, guiding, protecting and giving us hope! There is a quote by Chad Witmeyer that I love, “Hope never dies where faith is strong, and faith grows strong in the presence of hope.” Faith and hope walk hand in hand. When we have the faith we need our hope grows and in order to have more faith, we must constantly keep The Lord before us so we can be reminded of who He is and His greatness! We must continue to know Him more, reminding ourselves of who He is and all He has done! The best way to do that is to be intentional about learning more about Him, spending time in His word, going to church, Bible Studies, and spending time with Him in prayer. God loves you and wants His best for you ~ Keep your eyes on Him.
