Find Your Strength In Him

Psalm 18:1-2
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I think everyone I know right now is looking for ‘a fortress, or someone to deliver them, a rock and a place of refuge, a shield from everything coming at them, salvation from all they have had to face and all the mistakes they have made and a stronghold to secure them’. We all have difficulties and sometimes tragedies that we face and the only one we will truly find all we need in is God.

God wants to be all of this and more to you just as He was for David. David trusted God to the degree when he had the opportunity to take things in his own hands and kill Saul he didn’t, he trusted God to take care of Saul and keep His promises that He had made to David.

Are you fully trusting God with what you are facing today? I know I can leave a lot of things in God’s hands but there are certain things, like financial stuff, that I will give to Him and then take it back so I can worry about it for a while until I can’t take it any more and then I give it back to Him. How much more could He do if I would just give it up and leave it with Him. We need to give it to Him and stop wasting our energy worrying about something we can do nothing about. Do what you can and leave the rest to Him.

My prayer for you all today is that you will take one day at a time and that you will determine to allow God to be all of this to you. That you will be able to give Him all you are burdened with and leave it there. That God will give you the strength to hold on one more day as He works to bring all that He has promised to you. That God will bless you and give you all the faith you need. Trust Him today, what have you got to lose to give it all to Him and leave it there if you can’t fix it on your own? Give it to Him and spend your day getting what you need to do done, don’t waste another moment worrying. Let us all pray for victory today in each others lives!
