Get Excited About Him ~ Pursue Him and Watch Him Work!

by | Oct 19, 2021

Psalm 37:4,  “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

What are you most delighted in?  In other words, what really gets you excited on a daily basis?  We all have things in life that bless us and that is awesome, but what is it that you most enjoy doing with your time?

Time these days is a precious thing because it seems everyone is so busy, but there’s still time to look around and be reminded of the God you serve by the beauty of all He created.  There’s time to point Him out to your children.  How you spend your time speaks volumes about your priorities.  Choose to find time to spend with God every day so you will know Him more and the more you know Him the more you will think about Him and want to know Him more.

God desires to do good things for you, but most importantly He wants a relationship with you!  He wants to walk with you and guide you into all He created you to be.  He wants to hear what is on your heart and He wants to hear what blesses you.  Yes, He already knows, but what is a relationship without communication?  It seems funny, but the more time you spend with Him, the more you will notice the little things He does that bless you.  The desire of His heart is for you to know Him and follow Him.

He wants to heal your heart and He wants you to live again.  As Danny Gokey’s song says, “Tell Your Heart to Beat Again.”, God’s desire is for you to be able to rise back up from all of the heartache and see that God is walking with you and He wants to comfort you.  He still wants to use your story.  Let Him in!  Don’t shut Him out because of the hurt or because of the pain of what someone else has done.  Allow Him to fill your day with His presence and comfort.  He loves you more than words can say.

Delight in Him today.  Delight in the fact that He loves you beyond your comprehension.  Delight yourself in the fact that when you seek Him with all your heart you will find Him.
